26-27 Senior Food Service Helper

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026-2027 School Year
POSITION: Senior Food Service Helper
STATUS: This posting will be filled according to the Civil Service rules by a probationary appointment.
LOCATION: Food and Nutrition Services
QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) months of experience assisting in the preparation or service of food on a large scale

AND

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
• REQUIREMENT
• Dependable
• Neatness and cleanliness

• DUTIES
• Participate in the preparation and/or service of food items, as required in a school food service program.
• Prepare food according to a planned schedule, and tested, uniform recipes.
• Operates various kitchen appliances such as (but not limited to) slicer, peeler, pressure cooker, steamer, ovens, kettles, skillets, bulk mixers, dishwashers, ect.
• Perform related duties as required.

SALARY: Salary will be determined according to the Food Service Workers' Unit Bargaining Agreement.
FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE: Candidates must submit to fingerprint clearance.
