Notetaker, 2026-27 School Year

LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Deaf Education
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-Time, Probationary
STARTING DATE: September 2026
SALARY RANGE: $17.00 per hour

• DUTIES:
• Record clear concise notes.
• Distribute notes to assigned student and necessary teachers.
• Maintain diplomatic working relationships with teachers, parents, students, and other support personnel.
• Read and respond to email communication daily, if on staff.
• To attend training sessions and scheduled Notetaker and Deaf Education staff meetings, if on staff.

• QUALIFICATONS:
• High School graduate.
• Legible handwriting.
• Able to work independently, with a variety of children and adults.
• Able to adapt to a variety of subjects and teaching styles and to interpret lessons into clear, concise notes.
• Good working knowledge of computers (windows operating system, word processing applications, email, up- loading and down-loading attachments).
• Experience working in a classroom setting.
• Desire to work with students with disabilities.
• Able to attend Notetaker training.
• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
