• Current New York State Biology Certificate 7-12 or Living Environment Certificate

DESCRIPTION

The Monticello Central School District is seeking a full-time Middle School science teacher for a vacancy.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Preparing students for the Living Environment Regents Exam
• Working with students from diverse backgrounds
• Curriculum planning using project-based learning
• Incorporating authentic assessments into one’s teaching
• Designing lessons that challenge and support all students
• Using strong classroom management skills that respond to a student’s individual experience, background, and needs
• Flexibility in strategies to improve student attendance

The Monticello Central School District is in Sullivan County, NY, and is centrally located between New York City, Albany, and the Pocono Mountain region.
