Special Services Testing and Accommodations Support Specialist

Special Services Testing and Accommodations Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring equitable testing environments for students receiving academic accommodations (IEP, 504, ELL). This stipended role manages the logistical organization of testing schedules, space allocation, and proctoring needs, while assisting administration with the alignment of accommodations within the school's master schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Review student accommodation plans (IEP, 504, ELL) to determine specific testing requirements (e.g., extended time, small group, read-aloud, digital tools).
• Coordinate logistics for standardized, state, and school-wide assessments for students requiring accommodations.
• Secure and organize quiet testing spaces, proctors, adaptive technology, and required materials prior to testing windows.
• Maintain clear communication with the Director of Student Services & Special Education regarding testing schedules and student needs.
• Ensure student test confidentiality and strict adherence to accommodation compliance standards.
• Maintain an up-to-date schedule of accommodation testing rooms, proctor assignments, and student rosters throughout the academic year.
• Collaborate with building schedulers to align special education support blocks with the overall master schedule to eliminate timetable conflicts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Familiarity with IEP/504 accommodation frameworks and compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving abilities.
