Job Title: Extended Term Substitutes: School Safety Officer
Reports To: BuildingPrincipal/ Supervisor, or other administrator if needed
Effective date: 10/15/2026
Salary Range: $ 134.00 per diem

Position Summary: The above extended term substitute position is available for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in security work preferred
• Experience in working with students and parents
• Ability to work cooperatively with school personnel
• The work is performed under the supervision of the Safety and Security Coordinator or building Principal and Vice Principals
• Reliable, trustworthy and show the ability to handle disruptive situations with students
• SORA certification preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: See attached Job Description (job description should be added in Recruiting and Hiring)

Technology Skills: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.

Evaluation of Performance: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.

Terms of Employment: Per diem pay
