Title: Long Term Substitute Teacher - AP Economics
Assignment: Approximately 03/01/27 - 05/21/27; 2 sections of AP Economics, 2 sections of Honors Economics.
Location: Winnetka Campus
Supervisor: Social Studies Department Chair
Compensation: $77.85 per block

Assignment Details:

This is an approximately 12-week long-term substitute assignment teaching two sections of AP Economics and two sections of Honors Economics. Prior experience teaching AP Economics or AP Economics certification is required.

Requirements:

• Prior experience teaching AP Economics or AP Economics certification.
• Economics endorsement.

Substitute Teachers at New Trier High School:

• Provide an environment conducive to a positive learning experience.
• Are able to use technology to enhance instruction.
• Possess exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and distinctly with staff and students.
• Are able to move about frequently in the classroom and in various other parts of the school.
• Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the "New Trier Substitute Teacher Handbook"

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License or Substitute License registered in North Cook Intermediate Service Center, Region 05.
• Economics endorsement.
• Experience teaching AP Economics

Mandatory Training Requirement:

Upon hiring, all substitutes must attend mandatory training and complete required online training prior to being placed in a classroom. Only individuals who are officially hired and on the approved list may attend training sessions.
