Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Class B license with P and S endorsement, issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at the time of appointment.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Be able to pass a physical and drug screen.
• Be required to pass a physical performance test.

Typical Work Activities Include, but are not limited to:

• Checking the operating condition of the bus before starting on a trip and after.
• Reporting any mechanical defects to the immediate supervisor.
• Instructing or informing students about safety practices when entering and leaving the bus.
• Maintaining orderly conduct of students on the bus.

Paid Training Rate:

Salary: $23.40 /Hour

Substitute Part-Time Rate:

Salary: $25.84/hour (Variable Schedule and Flexible Hours)
