CDL School Bus Driver

Position Summary:

North West Hendricks School Corporation is seeking safe, dependable, and student-focused individuals to serve as CDL School Bus Drivers.
School Bus Drivers play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students to and from school and school-sponsored activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide students with sage, dependable bus service

• Conduct DAILY bus inspections as required

• Maintain excellent communication between students, parents, staff and administration

• Verify that routes are correct and safe

• Perform routine bus cleaning and fueling

• Comply with all D.O.T. and department paperwork

Job Requirements:

• Must be 21 Years Old

• Hold or obtain a class B CDL with Student and Passenger Endorsements

• Good driving record

• Available during approximate working hours or 6:30 am - 8:30 am AND 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm DAILY

Pay Rate:

• $140/daily for 183 days/year - paid year round

• Extra pay opportunities for driving on field trips and/or sports trips at $21/hour

• Sub Pay is $140/daily for CDL Drivers and $21/hr for NON-CDL Drivers

• Sub drivers are the firs to fill any routes that open up
