26-27 Homebound Instructor

Students are expected to attend school to the fullest extent possible, but homebound instruction may be provided to students who have a medical or mental/emotional condition preventing them from participating in classroom instruction because they are confined to home or a health care facility.
The goal of homebound services is to keep the student current with classroom instruction and facilitate the student’s return to the current classroom setting. Homebound instruction is not intended to replace school services and is, by design, temporary. It is not a remediation program and is not designed to provide students with time to make up previously missed assignments.
Homebound instructors need to be available to go to a student's home or medical care facility and deliver instruciton, provide feedback, and assess performance. Homebound Instructors will be compensated at the hourly rate of $27.04, and will be employed on an as needed basis.
Homebound candidates will be screened throughout the year (monthly or as needed) and placed in a pool, where building adminstration can access candidates for assignment. Please be sure to complete the applciation questions embedded in this interview in order to facilitate employment.
