Custodian Substitute

JOB TITLE: Custodian Substitute

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance

DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Custodial Department

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. This will be an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; Previous experience preferred; Must have the ability to read work orders, fill out requisitions, and communicate with other school personnel on duties to be performed; Must have abilities and capabilities to use equipment or supplies in a safe manner; Ability to handle cleaning supplies properly.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting/carrying. Work outside and inside on slippery or uneven walking surfaces and ladders. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials.
