School Counselor/School Social Worker Special Programs

Job Description: The individual shall provide services to students in a special education classroom setting. The individual must have knowledge regarding or experience with students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities, including cognitive delays. Strong behavior management and leadership skills, and the ability to modify curriculum to meet students' needs, are required. The individual must be a team player and work collaboratively with support staff. The candidate should have experience with behavioral management strategies and the ability to supervise support staff. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training is preferred. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.

Requirement: New York State Certification Required School Counselor or School Social Worker
Anticipated Salary: $54,200+, Salary offer will be commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.
