Probationary Elementary Teacher

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Elementary Teacher. The successful candidate will need to:

• Demonstrate fluent understanding of NYS Learning Standards;
• Demonstrate strong skills and knowledge in ELA, literacy, and mathematics;
• Maintains a recovery mindset;
• Demonstrate an understanding of differentiated and blended learning;
• Effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;
• Able to build a positive rapport with students and parents;
• Demonstrate the willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with colleagues with successful experience in working as part of a team;

• Completion of a NYS Registered Program – Early Childhood Education (Birth – Grade 2) and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
• Institutional Recommendation – Early Childhood Education (Birth -Grade 2) and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
• New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Educating All Students Test (EAS)
• Content Specialty Test (CST) – Multi-Subject: Teachers of Early Childhood (Birth -2) (Parts 1 and 2) and Teachers of Childhood (Grade 1-Grade 6) (Parts 1 and 2)
• Content Specialty Test (CST) – Multi-Subject Part 3
• Workshop – Child Abuse Identification (Second Update)
• Workshop – Dignity For All Students Act
• Fingerprint Clearance
