JOB DESCRIPTION:

Phillipsburg School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered In-Class Support Special Education Teacher to serve students in a classroom for students in grades 3–5. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiated instruction, inclusive practices, and the academic and social-emotional needs of elementary learners with diverse abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:

• Must hold the appropriate New Jersey special education teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain one.
• Must prioritize students' individual needs, learning goals, development, and well-being.
• Must already be employed by ESS (Educational Services) or be in the process of becoming employed by ESS.

• Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with parents and professionals

• Understands use and programming of assistive and educational technology
