Groundskeeper

The Pickerington Local School District is seeking interested applicants for a Groundskeeper position.

This is a 12 month position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Experience in groundskeeping tasks including lawn care, grass cutting, and shrubbery maintenance.
• Skilled in the layout and lining of athletic fields.
• Experience with operating, maintaining, and repairing mowing equipment.
• Mechanical and/or welding experience preferred.
• Experience in maintaining fences, asphalt, concrete, ceilings, playground equipment, athletic equipment, and performing repairs on floors, doors, and windows.
• Ability to follow directions with a strong desire to succeed.
• Demonstrates respect and the ability to work collaboratively with peers.
• Dependable and exhibits a strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and sensitive situations.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
