Job Summary
Prairie Lea Independent School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate high school mathematics educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and foster a love for learning. This full-time position offers an opportunity to engage with students in a collaborative and supportive environment, promoting academic excellence and critical thinking skills.

• Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and district curriculum.
• Teach a variety of high school mathematics courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to support student growth.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and curriculum updates.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Support students in preparing for standardized tests and college readiness initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, committees, and events.

• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in mathematics for high school level.
• Strong understanding of high school mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and colleagues.
• Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
• Experience in using technology in the classroom is preferred.
• Previous teaching experience at the high school level is a plus.
