Junior Varsity Softball Coach

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct daily workouts and practices
• Attend all practices and softball games
• Supervise and instruct student-athletes during all team activities
• Prepare the softball facility for all home meets
• Promote balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators
• Motivate athletes
• Assist in building the softball program and plan for its future

Qualifications

• CPR / First Aid Training, Fundamentals of Coaching Training, Health and Safety for Coaches, and Concussion Training preferred
• Complete orientation through human resources including fingerprinting and background checks
• Within two years of hiring, successful completion of the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) course and test entitled "Basic Virginia High School League Course" accessible at http://www.asep.com/asep.content/org/VHSL.cfm will be completed.
