Position:: Assistant Boys’ Basketball Coach at RMS

Qualifications and

• Requirements:: * High School Diploma or GED; licensed instructor preferred.
• Valid New Mexico Coaching licensure or eligibility.
• NMAA Coaching Certificate required or eligibility.
• Must demonstrate willingness to work in a cooperative working
• environment.
• Strong reading, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Preference given to certified or classified staff.
• *CDL preferred or willingness to obtain CDL.
• Responsibilities: * Primary duties include assisting the head basketball coach.

* Working knowledge of rules and regulations of the sport involved.

* Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.

* Ability to work productively as part of a team.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule.

* Other duties as assigned.

a. Required to lift or carry classroom supplies, textbooks, furniture, and equipment to a minimum of 35 pounds;

b. Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion;

c. Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis;

d. Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading;

e. Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise, activity, inclement weather;

f. Sitting, walking, standing are a regular requirement;

g. Flexibility of bending and twisting at the neck and truck are a regular requirement;

h. Occasional travel in school owned or leased vehicles while supervising and assisting students may be required.
