PT Coach

Position Summary

Provide supplemental coaching support to students to aide in targeted skill development.

Education/Certification

High school diploma or GED.

Experience

Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience

Special Knowledge/Skills

Experience working with coaching in an educational setting

Demonstrated competency in the sport assigned

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with other staff members to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
• Be a positive role model for students and support the school district’s mission.
• Ensure confidentiality of all student records, test scores, and personal information.
• Maintain an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students' physical, social, and emotional development.
• Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and the student handbook.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain records and other documents required.
• Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
