Bus Monitor (Probationary)

General responsibility is to maintain bus safety by following the proper safety rules and procedures, and to assist the bus driver to maintain proper discipline.

• Must be a High School graduate or have possession of an Equivalency diploma, and be a minimum of 19 years of age.
• Must have ability to work with children with special needs.
• Must be physically fit and agile to pass mandatory New York State Education Dept. Bus Monitor/Attendant physical performance test.
• 2 hour pre-service class required prior to working.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have ability to work with confidential information.
