Substitute Teacher Aide/Teacher Assistant

Substitute teacher aides and teacher assistants will cover absences as they occur.

1. Complete the Civil Service application (see link under additional items)

2. Complete the sub service profile sheet (see link under additional items)

3. Complete the attached Affirmation of Eligibility for Employment form (see link under additional items)

4. Contact a building principal or assistant principal of your choice to schedule an interview. The principals and assistant principal are as follows:

Bring all application material with you to your interview.

Note: NYS Education Department requires any person employed in a public school district to be fingerprinted specifically for the New York State Education Department. This is required before you begin work. The fee that is charged is $102.00. You can set up an appointment to be fingerprinted at http://www.identogo.com . Once at their site you will be asked to enter a service code, which is "14ZGR7".

Must be a High School graduate or have possession of an Equivalency diploma.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
