Typist (Probationary)

• Civil Service non-competitive to competitive class position. A test is no longer required for this position.
• Fingerprinting for NYS Education Dept. is required prior to appointment.
• One year of experience and training in the clerical and/or business field.
• Graduate from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, typing, organizational and clerical skills.
• Must have ability to interact professionally with children and adults.
• Alertness and a willingness to learn and prepare for assignments of progressively increasing difficulty are essential.
