Janitorial (Part Time)

COMPENSATION: $16.19
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations/Lead Janitor
HOURS: 17.5 Hours a Week 3.5 Hours Daily
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 Month

FUNCTION

The Janitor is to keep assigned areas cleaned to the district standard as to ensure a high state of operating excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Arizona driver's license
• Sound physical health; punctuality.
• Ability to adapt to varying assignments and tasks.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to relate cordially with others.
• Background and fingerprint clearance.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may deem appropriate and acceptable.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dust-mop, sweep, and wet mop hard surface floors
• Scrub and clean restroom fixtures
• Vacuum and clean rugs and carpets.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Notify lead janitor of equipment and facility repairs.
• Perform other duties as directed.

RELATED PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), including pushing, pulling, or moving objects.
• Stooping, bending, turning, reaching, etc. as necessary in performing duties.
• Standing/working for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and extreme heat or cold.
• Proper handling of hazardous waste materials; prompt response to emergency situations.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Ten-month Working Agreement base on academic calendar. Salary as determined by the Board of Education. Evaluation in accordance with Board policy.
