About this role
A Paraprofessional Educator certificate from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) is required to be employed as a paraprofessional. You can qualify for this certificate in 1 of 2 ways:
1. Have earned at least 60 credit hours of college coursework above the remedial level with a grade of “C” or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution. These credits do not have to be education related. An official transcript reflecting proof of credits from the college or university is required.
2. Passing the GACE Paraprofessional Exam which can be registered for on this website.
