ESL Basic Skills Teacher (PART-TIME)

The Toms River Regional Board of Education anticipates an opening for the following PART TIME position:

ELEMENTARY ESL BASIC SKILLS TEACHER
(Elementary Level)

The Elementary English as a Second Language (ESL) Basic Skills program provides literacy intervention and remediation to ESL students. Knowledge of the workshop model, SIOP based instruction, intervention strategies, and the ability to use language proficiency data to inform instruction preferred.

Qualifications:

• Elementary Education Certificate
• ESL Endorsement preferred but not required
• Knowledge of instructional strategies that support language acquisition to meet the needs of ESL students
• Familiarity with district's ELA curriculum and instructional programs

Teachers will receive a per diem rate (voucher pay).
