Join Our Team as a Substitute Teacher – Rio Vista ISD (2026/2027 School Year)

Make a difference in the lives of students while gaining valuable experience in our classrooms! All substitutes must attend the Substitute Orientation before the start of the 2026/2027 school year to begin working on RVISD campuses.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 12 college credit hours
• Successful fingerprint/background check
• Non-refundable fee of approximately $45.70

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to engage and work with students of all ages
• Willingness to follow classroom and school guidance

Physical & Mental Demands:

• Must be able to meet the challenges of working with students and staff in a school setting

Documents Required (with application):

• Two letters of character reference
• College transcripts
• Applicable teaching certification(s) (if any)
• Applications will not be considered without all required documentation.
