Special Education Assistant (AST-0445) - 5.75 Hrs.

REQUIRED CRITERIA:

• High School diploma
• Ability to communicate effectively with special needs children, as assigned
• Ability to assist teacher with behavior techniques for social/emotional challenges
• Demonstrate patience and willingness to learn
• Ability to be flexible and follow directions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Assist students with organizational skills and academic support in the content area(s)
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to work with other assigned staff to establish a positive, productive learning environment for assigned student(s)
• Evidence of good moral character as determined by reference checks, fingerprinting review and observation

PREFERRED CRITERIA:

• Experience with middle-grade students
• College/coursework/degree
• Computer proficiency

SALARY: $19.83 Per Hour
