ELEMENTARY TEACHER – Long Term Substitute

Description of Duties:

The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging educational experience for students in grades K-6. This role involves creating a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love for learning. The teacher will use differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to succeed. The teacher will guide students in mastering essential skills outlined in the NYS standards and district curriculum. The teacher will also build strong, positive relationships with students, collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents, and create a classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and cooperation. The teacher will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing timely feedback and remediation, as well as communicating regularly with parents and guardians.

Requirements:

NYS Certification in Childhood Education 1-6 or Pre K�6
