Position: Elementary Chorus Director � Part Time (Posting number 2627-3940)
Location: Plank Road North Elementary School
Start Date: October 22, 2026
Requirements: Must have NYS Certification in Music K-12

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Music & NYS K-12 Music certification preferred
• Working with Gr. 4/5 singers of all interests and abilities
• Piano competency for rehearsal / instruction.

About this position:

• Instruction of two sections of Grade 4 / 5 Chorus that may perform together.
• Meeting two days a week (TBD) during the PM Activity period (roughly 2:15-3:15 PM, depending on dismissal time of site).
• Select appropriate music for Winter and Spring Concert performances.
• Facilitate proper beginning choral technique in rehearsals.
• Communicate as necessary with building staff and families.
• Come work in a recognized "Best Communities for Music Education" - our Fine Arts team supports both you and your student's growth.

Salary: Compensation for Elementary Choir Directors is at the rate of 0.1 FTE of a normal teaching salary per the WTA contract.
