• Schedule:
• 4.75 hours per day / 10-month position (follows K-6 student calendar)

• Work Hours:
• 7:00 AM - 8:45 AM and/or 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation

• $17.00 per hour

Start Date

• September 8, 2026, or as soon as practical

Job Description

Primary Role

The Assistant Teacher reports directly to the Lead Teacher and is responsible for supporting the daily implementation of program activities at their assigned site.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with planning and implementing programs for children
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Maintain positive communication with parents
• Uphold strict confidentiality
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for children and staff
• Report to assigned duties on time and maintain reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Demonstrate professional behavior at all times, including maintaining confidentiality

Required Skills / Minimum Abilities

• High School Diploma and substantial experience working with children under age 12
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development
• Ability to work effectively with students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
