0.6 Part-Time Spanish Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid NYS Certification in Spanish 7-12 with 5-6 extension

PREFERRED:

• One year of Spanish teaching experience

ESSENTIAL CORE CHARACTERISTICS:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Spanish
• Knowledge in research-based instructional strategies
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the middle school levels
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and to interact positively with students, colleagues and parents.
• Demonstrated proficiency in meeting all school routines in an efficient and responsible manner
• Ability to use data to assess student progress and performance and plan instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Knowledgeable in reliable methods of classroom management
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct learners
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to infuse technology to enhance instruction

PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Demonstrated evidence of a willingness to contribute within and outside the department if called upon (i.e., advisor, chaperone, club, etc.)

REPORTS TO: Building Principal
SALARY: $28,320 - $32,220 Per WTA Contract

(this salary is pro-rated from a full-time position)
