Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Skills/Abilities
Organization skills; Communication skills; Ability to work with students of all ages; Willingness to follow directives

Applications will NOT be considered without proper documentation

Campus Classroom Substitute Teacher.

High School transcript, College Transcript (Bachelor’s or above) or G.E.D. certificate required. Please attach your transcript to this application.

Substitutes must be 18 or older to substitute at WES, WIMS, WJHS; 21 years or older to substitute at WHS.

If you do not have digital fingerprints on file with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), please see fingerprinting process information below.

(New substitute’s fingerprints are required at the individual’s expense. - $52.20 for certified and $50.25 for non-certified)

State Required Fingerprinting Process –You will be contacted by the WISD Administration Office concerning the fingerprint provess after your application has been approved.

Scheduling for Non-Certified Individuals

For non-certified individuals, the TEA upload process initiates a pre-enrollment with the State’s vendor, MorphoTrust. Morphotrust will send an email to each non-certified individual so that the applicant can schedule a fingerprint appointment. The email will be sent from nobody@uemail.IdentoGo.com.

The contact will be made via the email address on the application.

Scheduling for Certified Individuals

For certified individuals, payment must be made in the Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) to initiate pre-enrollment with MorphoTrust. After the TEA upload process, each certified individual will receive an email from TEA advising of the process to make payment. Once payment has been submitted in ECOS, the certified individual will be contacted by MorphoTrust via email to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted.
