Minimum Requirements:

Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License

Class B with P & S Endorsement

Must be 18 years of age

Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that safe and orderly transportation of students in accordance with assigned routes. The bus driver will operate the school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from school or other designated locations.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with administrators and other staff.

Treat all people with dignity and respect.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to follow and convey verbal and written instructions.

Ability to work as a member of a team.

Ability to pass a physical, alcohol and a drug test.

Ability to complete required bus driver safety training.

Knowledge of student discipline procedures.

Ability to manage student behavior.

Ability to operate a bus.
