If you are searching for TalentEd or PeopleAdmin, both names are gone. PowerSchool acquired PeopleAdmin in 2018 and now sells the product as Recruiting and HR, with the applicant system itself branded Unified Talent Applicant Tracking. It covers hiring, onboarding, employee records and substitute management, and PowerSchool says 3,000+ districts use it. There is no published price; the page ends in "Speak to an Expert". EduJobs is a narrower thing: a public job board with a light applicant system attached, at 3 postings free, $79 for one, $990 for 25, or Unlimited from $399 a month. It does not replace an HR suite and does not try to.
you need employee records, onboarding and substitute management in one system, particularly if your district already runs PowerSchool SIS or ERP.
the problem is filling vacancies rather than administering staff, and you want to start without a procurement cycle.
Everything in the PowerSchool Recruiting and HR column comes from their own published pages, quoted or closely paraphrased.

Where the PowerSchool Recruiting and HR column reads “not described on their product page”, that is exactly what it means. A capability missing from a marketing page is not a capability missing from the product, and we do not claim otherwise.
Written before anything about us, because a page that misdescribes the tool you use every day is not worth reading.
Recruiting, onboarding and employee records are the same system, so a hire does not have to be re-entered anywhere. EduJobs stops at the hire and has no employee records at all.
Absence and substitute cover sit in the same product as hiring. PowerSchool puts it at over 5.1 million substitute jobs filled in 2025. EduJobs does not do this.
For a district already running PowerSchool SIS or ERP, this is another module from a vendor already in the building, on contracts and security reviews that are already done.
PowerSchool states 3,000+ districts on recruiting and HR and 562,000 applicants hired in 2024. Those are their figures rather than independent ones, but the installed base is large.
These are design choices, and each one costs us something.
Their job board is SchoolSpring, a separate purchase at $250 a posting that imports from this system. Here the public board is the product; every posting is on it.
No call, no quote, no procurement cycle to learn a number. 3 postings free, $79 for one, $990 for 25, Unlimited from $399 to $1,999 a month by enrollment.
Post a role with no account and no card. There is no implementation project, because there is nothing to implement.
A hiring recommendation becomes a consent-agenda packet, approvals route to whoever signs them, and the decision log sits on the candidate. That is where a district hire actually ends.
No rates appear on the product page, which ends in "Speak to an Expert". What a district pays is settled in a quote rather than published, so we will not print a figure we cannot source.
Card or purchase order. Charters and private schools pay the same. Unlimited runs on a 12-month term, and above 100,000 students we quote.
For most districts this is not a switch. An HR suite and a job board solve different problems, and if you need employee records and substitute cover then you need something we do not sell. The realistic overlap is the hiring half: postings, applications and the workflow up to the offer.
If you are reconsidering the suite itself, the timing is the renewal rather than the school year, and the number worth establishing first is what you currently pay for the recruiting portion alone. It is often bundled, which makes it hard to see and easy to keep renewing.
you are buying an HR system, not a job board. Employee records, onboarding and substitute cover are real requirements and we do not meet any of them. If your district already runs PowerSchool SIS or ERP, keeping the stack together is a reasonable basis for a decision on its own. Expect a quote and a procurement cycle, since no price is published.
the vacancies are the problem. You can post today with no account, keep whatever applicant system you already run, and see whether it changes anything before spending more than $79. If you do want the workflow, screening, interviews, references, board approval and offers are here at a price you can read, from $399 to $1,999 a month by enrollment. Districts commonly run both, because a board and an HR suite are not the same purchase.
