1.0 FTE Digital Literacy Teacher (Elementary)

Salary Dependent upon Experience, Academic Preparation and the ATA Contract

Qualifications:

• Candidates possessing a valid Teaching Certificate in one or more of the following New York state certification areas will be considered:
• Technology;
• Business;
• Computer Science;
• Library Media Specialist;
• Early Childhood Education (Birth-2);
• Childhood Education (1-6);

• Candidates possessing a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood or Childhood Education must also possess a Master of Science in an approved computer science-related graduate program.

Duties:

• Familiarity with New York State K12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards;
• Familiarity with New York State mathematics, science, and technology (MST) Learning Standards;
• Willingness to expand and develop both knowledge and subject matter to improve student learning;
• Ability to collaborate with other staff, parents, students, and administration;
• Flexibility in completing daily tasks;
• Experience in the use of technology, communications and information systems to support student learning.
