Instructional Assistant Description

Specification/Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
Demonstrate knowledge of classroom procedures and student regulatory policy
Demonstrate awareness of students' disabilities and medical needs
Assist classroom teacher in implementing instructional strategies
Assist in implementing Argo High School's crisis management plan

Qualifications/Certification:

Excellent organizational, operational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
Experience and knowledge of office computer software operations
Ability to relate both written and verbally to students, parents, visitors and staff
Physical ability to meet job requirements
Proper ISBE Certification, High School Diploma/GED and maintain CPR/AED Certification

Compensation: As per collective bargaining agreement: Support Staff Contract
