Substitute Bus Driver

DESCRIPTION: The function of this position is to meet the requirements of a school bus driver and to operate such vehicles in a safe manner for the transportation of students to and from school and related activities. The sub bus driver will fill in for regular drivers as needed and transport students on field trips and to athletic events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bus drivers shall meet all state requirements.
• Have the ability to foster and maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and pupils.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In the day to day operation, they are responsible to the Transportation Coordinator and shall look to him/her for direction.
• He/she shall be responsible for the safety and welfare of the bus when loaded with children.
• It shall be his/her responsibility to operate the bus at all times with prudence and using said driving techniques as will best protect and care for the bus.
• Strive to maintain a violation and accident-free driving record.
• The driver must be dependable and at times be able to work on short notice.
