Nurse Substitute

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Substitute to join our team at Deer River Schools. This role is essential in providing temporary nursing support to ensure the health and well-being of our students. This is a substitute position, allowing flexibility in scheduling while contributing to the health services team.

• Responsibilities
• Provide first aid and emergency care to students as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document student health records and incidents.
• Maintain a clean and organized health office.
• Participate in health screenings and assessments as required.
• Stay updated on school policies and health regulations.

• Requirements
• Valid nursing license (LPN or RN) in the state of Minnesota.
• Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
