District 65 Interscholastic/IESA - Coaching

MIDDLE SCHOOL INTERSCHOLASTIC(s) COACH

Overview:
A Coach will provide leadership, supervision, and organization of all aspects of the athletic program. This includes fostering student-athlete development, teaching fundamental skills, promoting sportsmanship, ensuring safety, and aligning the program with the mission of the District 65 Sports Conference and the standards established by District 65 Athletics.

The coach is responsible for supporting the academic and personal growth of all student-athletes while building a culture of inclusivity, teamwork, and integrity that reflects the values of Evanston/Skokie District 65.

This job reports to the District 65 Athletic Director.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior coaching or athletic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate training and competition standards.
• CPR/AED certification (preferred or required before first contest).
• Completion of District 65 onboarding, fingerprinting, and background checks.
• Commitment to the values of educational athletics and middle school development.

Stipend: $1,250 per team
