Head Groundman (12 month position)

POSITION:Head Groundsman

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, equivalent or demonstrated basic skills in computation and communication, both oral and written.
• General groundskeeping/landscaping experience required; experience with school facilities preferred.
• Supervisory experience in the area of groundskeeping/ landscaping preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge, interest, aptitude, ability, competence and/or skills to satisfactorily meet essential functions of position. Must possess skills in computer use and demonstrate familiarity with programs and applications relevant to responsibilities of the job.
• Black Seal Boiler's License required.
• Shall have and maintain a valid New Jersey Driver's License.
• Shall possess or acquire and maintain a valid state certified Pesticide Applicator License. This shall include license 3A (ornamental); license 3B (turf) and core.
• Shall meet all physical requirements for position.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
SUPERVISES: Groundskeepers
EFFECTIVE DATE: January 1, 2027
SALARY: Commensurate with Experience
BENEFITS: Benefits package after satisfactory 60 day probationary period
