Instrumental Music Leave Replacement Teacher

Teacher of Instrumental Music (Middle School Grades 6-8)

• Replacement for teachers on a leave of absence
• Length of positions may vary
• Successful clearance of criminal history
• All Substitutes must be BOE approved

Requirements:

• NJ Teacher of Music (Standard, CEAS, CE, Provisional)
• Knowledge/experience with providing novice to intermediate band instruction
• Advanced proficiency performing on at least one instrument
• Knowledge of 2020 Visual and Performing Arts Standards (particularly in the area of music ensembles)
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)
• Bilingual (a plus)

Effective:

• 2026- 2027 School Year

Salary:

• Days 1-20 - $130.00 a day

Benefits: Leave replacement teachers receive benefits after 5 consecutive months of working (single health benefits)
In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.
