SUPERVISOR OF STUDENT SERVICES GRADES 4-8

LTPSA 12-month position

Salary Range:

Starting at $110,000, negotiable based on experience, prorated for the period of employment per negotiated contract.

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent for Student Services

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Supervisor's Certificate and one of the following certifications:
• New Jersey School Social Worker or,
• New Jersey School Psychologist, or
• New Jersey Learning Disability Teacher Consultant.
• N.J. Special Education Teacher.
• N.J. School Counselor

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to motivate people.
• Knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of child study team members, counselors
• Knowledge and understanding of special education programs and services, curriculum development and program evaluation, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management and research related to learning.
• Supervision of school counselors at assigned grade levels and/or buildings
• Knowledge and understanding of the regulations regarding the operation of special education programs and services as outlined in federal and state statutes and codes.
• Demonstrated ability to relate with students, staff administration, parents and the community.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.

Supervision: Child Study Team Members, School Counselors, Special Education Teachers and Assistants
