Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To provide ALPHA teacher with support in developing student testing folders and test preparation. Assisting prior, during, and post testing with organization of testing to include processing and organizing student test groups to identify special needs, ELL, and Bilingual students. The support staff will also be expected to complete annual training in testing confidentiality for McKinney ISD as provided by testing coordinator. General office responsibility such as filing, organizing folders, and maintaining office systematizing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Certification:

High School Diploma or GED equivalency and a minimum of 48 semester hours of college credit or Associate’s Degree

Special Knowledge and Skills:

Organizational skills & Excel aptitude

Ability to communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators calling ALPHA teachers

Awareness of and ability to relate well to diverse population

Experience:

Experience in office Word, Excel, and Google docs

Experience in supporting teachers as office responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Student Growth and Development

Help teachers with processing score reports from Riverside and Pearson

Support teacher conducting ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal teaching

Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities assigned. Sponsor outside activities approved by the principal

Be a positive role model for students, and support of the mission of the school district

Communication

Ability to ensure and maintain confidentiality with all communications to include all written and spoken discussion of student testing information

Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with calls from parents, students, teachers, and principals

Maintain a professional relationship with staff, colleagues, parents, administrators, and community leaders

Use effective communications skills to present information accurately and clearly

Professional Growth and Development

Participate in testing staff development activities to improve job-related skills

Stay current on Gifted and Talented testing score processing

Other

Perform other duties as assigned
