Job Description

Primary Purpose

AVID Tutors act as collaborative facilitators and positive role models for middle school and high school students. Instead of giving direct answers, they guide small groups of students to use inquiry and critical thinking to solve their own academic challenges. AVID Tutors may work at a variety of locations for up to 20 hours per week. AVID Tutors work under the direction of the AVID classroom teacher and must attend mandatory training prior to working with AVID students.
