Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Supervision of children enrolled in the MISD Club 360 Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Certification

High school diploma or GED

Must be able to successfully pass a background check required by MISD and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Special Knowledge Skills:

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Eleyo Childcare Software

Google

Patience and experience supervising children in a childcare setting.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Accurately communicate and document behavior incidents

Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately (verbal and written).

Ability to operate and learn new technology systems.

Ability to work under stress independently.

Ability to supervise large groups of children safely and responsibly.

Ability to follow and implement a planned activity

Ability to communicate with staff and children in a positive manner

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the mission and purpose of Club 360.
• Comply with McKinney ISD and Club 360 policies.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance in the workplace
• Ensure proper use of all equipment and facilities during all program activities.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for program participants.
• Provide and maintain a clean environment.
• Assist students checking into Club 360 programs.
• Assist students checking out of Club 360 programs & verifying authorized pickups.
• Assist Club 360 Site Manager in communication between staff, children, and parents.
• Review daily attendance of students and implement steps for those absent from the program.
• Attend the required training scheduled by MISD Childcare Programs.
• Work as a team member and with peers, teachers, campus personnel and principals.
• Professional demeanor and communication with diverse groups during active supervision.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Club 360 Site Manager/Coordinator/Director of Childcare Programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct supervision of Cub 360 participants, program implementation, daily schedule, and lesson plans

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Tools/Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system; cell phones; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals and new equipment acquired by the district

Posture: Prolonged standing, frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking; repetitive hand motions; exposure to computer emissions
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and remove classroom equipment

Environment: Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise; ability to supervise children (physically, visually and auditorily); ability to conduct floor activities; ability to conduct large motor activities with children ( i.e., exercises, gym games, etc.).

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); adjust work to new programs, sites and ideas; ability to operate and learn new technology systems.
