2024 ESC 19 Elementary Teacher of the Year: Adrian E. Stevens

Stevens is a physical education teacher at Sageland Elementary School in the Ysleta Independent School District.

2024 ESC 19 Secondary Teacher of the Year: Bruce Hoang

Bruce Hoang is a French language teacher at Canutillo High School in the Canutillo Independent School District.

Raiz Federal Union, formerly known as Federal Teachers Credit Union, co-sponsors the annual Region 19 Teacher of the Year program. They awarded all the teachers with $150 plus in both elementary school and secondary school categories they awarded $500 to 2nd runner-ups, $1,000 to 1st runner-ups and $2,000 to the top winners.

Region 19 Elementary Teacher of the Year Top Winners:

• WINNER: Adrian E. Stevens, Ysleta ISD

• 1st Runner-up: Rosa Rodriguez, Fabens ISD

• 2nd Runner-up: Vanessa Gutierrez, Clint ISD

Region 19 Secondary Teacher of the Year Top Winners:

• Winner: Bruce Hoang, Canutillo ISD

• 1st Runner-up: Marcos Muñoz, El Paso ISD

• 2nd Runner-up: Jessica Gonzalez, San Elizario ISD

ESC19 Teacher of the Year Program

LEGACY

For nearly three decades, ESC Region 19 has proudly presented the Teacher of the Year (TOY) program. ESC 19 annually showcases district teachers who have emerged as champions in their profession, and have impacted and inspired students to unforetold heights in all aspects of their lives.

Our ESC 19 Teachers of the Year represent not only the best in their districts but are among the most consistently recognized as the best in Texas, having gone on to win NINE Texas Teacher of the Year Awards!
