Bus Driver - Part Time - Trip Driver Only

COMPENSATION: Starting at $18.84
HOURS: 25-29 Hours a Week
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly

FUNCTION

Drive activity bus for out of town trips.

QUALIFICATIONS

• No points on driving record.
• Ability to pass a physical exam, including drug test.
• Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain such.
• Successful in passing all State training and written test. Have in possession all required endorsements.
• Ability to work cordially with co-workers and students
• Ability to work early morning and/or variable hours as needed.
• Be able to drive on out of town trips including Phoenix and Tucson.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives a school bus safely and professionally.
• Demonstrates proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections.
• Complies with all traffic ordinances.
• Supervises students; enforces discipline policies.
• Participates in on-site training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

RELATED PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Continuous sitting, driving.
• Frequently bending or twisting at the neck and trunk.
• Frequent repetition of hand, arm motions; use of hand strength to grasp equipment.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception and peripheral vision requirements.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Hourly wage based on Working Agreement. Salary as determined by the Board of Education.

Annual evaluation in accordance with Board policy.
