Substitute Teacher

COMPENSATION:
Classroom Substitute Teacher (not to exceed 7.5 h/p/d (37.5 h/p/w)) $17.90 per hour
Long Term Substitute (not to exceed 7.5 h/p/d (37.5 h/p/w)) $19.90 per hour

Long Term Substitute w/benefits (not to exceed 7.5 h/p/d (37.5 h/p/w)) $22.10 per hour
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly

Description/Job Summary:
Assist students to increase skill, knowledge, concepts and behaviors in cognitive and affective domains, consistent with State standards and District guidelines.

Qualifications:
Appropriate Arizona substitute and/or teaching credentials (Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearence Card, Substitute Certificate)

Physical and mental health which allows for proper discharge of job functions

Personal characteristics which allow for the establishment of good rapport with students

Willingness to devote sufficient time to preparation in order that stated objectives can be met

Willingness to update and improve job skills through a continuous program of professional development

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Regular interaction with students and staff

Close vision and focusing requirements

Stooping, bending, climbing, turning, reaching, as neccessary to access/utilize instructional materials and equipment

Lifting, maneuvering, placing light loads

Standing/sitting for extended periods of time

Operating standard office machines
