School Bus Driver

This post is for a school bus driver at the Voorheesville Central School District. Drivers work routes for two in-district public schools, and provide transportation for district children going to private schools, to Special Education placements and for district field trips and athletic events on an as-needed basis. Excellent benefits provided.

Training is available for qualified candidates.

Salary: per UEV Contract
Hours: Hours may vary; Generally from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. September – June.

• High school graduate or possession of GED.
• A Class B license with passenger and school bus endorsements is preferred.
• Drivers with a CDL Class B permit will be trained.
• Neat appearance.
• There will be a background check, drug testing and fingerprinting (as required by law).
• Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
• Must be reliable and able to work on school attendance days.

The supervisor will conduct a formal review of performance approximately six months after commencement of employment in this position.
