Substitute Nutrition Service Worker

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in food service preferred
• Experience in baking, cooking and salad making preferred

Essential Functions

• Perform functions as assigned by the Nutrition Services Manager including:
• Food preparation
• Serving
• Cashiering
• Clean-up

• Maintain safe operations and maintenance of school kitchen equipment.
• Complete training and maintain standards for safe food handling and storage. Participate in other professional development activities as required.
• Provide high quality customer service to students and staff by contributing to a friendly, helpful cafeteria environment with good quality food.
• Comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act by maintaining strict confidentiality of information about all students.
• Maintain professional responsibility for keeping aware and informed of job-related information by accessing the employee’s district-provided mail box, email, and/or voice mail on a daily basis
• Comply with applicable state and federal laws, Board of Education policy, established work rules and guidelines, administrative/supervisory directives, and terms of the Master Agreement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
