Position: 2026-2027 Pre-K Teaching Assistants (Posting Number 2627-3777)
Location: District Wide
Start Date: August 31, 2026

Requirements: Must have NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant - Level I, Level II or Level III or have NYS certification as a teacher

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

• Works well on a team
• Experience in an elementary setting preferred
• Possess excellent classroom management skills
• Capable of lifting and supporting students with toileting when necessary
• Experience supporting young students in social emotional learning in a play-based environment.
• Exemplify the WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills
• Must have a professional repertoire including but not limited to organization, time management, technology skills and approach

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers
• Support students with Instructional projects
• Assists students with physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate. Examples could include: feeding, dressing, transfers between equipment, and toileting.

Salary: As per current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA) as well as education and experience
